In this post I cover the details of what will be in the arena for the @home competition.
From the 2012 rulebook:
General Arena details:
The RoboCup@Home arena is a realistic home setting consisting of
Specific Arena Details:
[li] Minimum wall height: 60cm
[/li][li] Maximum wall height: Unspecified
Doors
[/li][li] Two exit/entry doors connecting the outside of the "scenario" to the outside world.
[/li][li] Doors will be used as starting points for the robot
[/li][li] Atleast one door entrance will be with a handle (not a knob)
The Floor
[/li][li] The floors are on even ground.
[/li][li] Minor unevenness and small gaps must be expected (Carpet gaps, doorway gaps etc)
Appearance of Arena
[/li][li] Elements are uni-coloured
[/li][li] Some may be transparent.
[/li][/ul]
